Privacy Policy

The short version
We don't collect personal information, sell your data, or track you across the web. Shitfaced Showdown is a browser-based game — you play, the session ends, and we don't hold onto anything about you.
What we collect
- Game session data. When you create or join a game, we temporarily store your chosen nickname and game state in memory on our servers. This data is deleted automatically a few hours after the game ends. No account is required, and nicknames are not tied to any identity.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe may collect information as described in their privacy policy.
- Error monitoring. We use Sentry to capture technical errors and help us fix bugs. Error reports may include browser type, OS, and anonymised stack traces. No personally identifiable information is intentionally sent.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider collects standard server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) for security and operational purposes. These are retained for a short period and are not used for tracking.
Cookies and local storage
We don't use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We use browser local storage solely to remember your game session (your nickname and player token) so you can return to a game if you accidentally close your tab. This data expires after 3 hours and never leaves your device.
Third-party services
- Stripe — payment processing
- Sentry — error monitoring
- Google Fonts — typography (loaded from Google's CDN)
Your rights
Since we don't store personal data beyond temporary game sessions, there's generally nothing to request deletion of. If you have questions or concerns, you can reach us at [email protected].
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We're not in the business of hiding anything.
